We are pleased to publish the announcement that ARI Lecco APS - Associazione Radioamatori Italiani - Sezione di Lecco has started a course to learn how to communicate using Morse Code. The course has immediately seen great success and participation.

Transmitting messages using Morse Code enables one to reach long distances with excellent clarity of transmission. It is also called CW (Continuous Wave) transmission because the wave carrier is interrupted to transmit the point or line.

This system also works when radios cannot transmit. In fact, it can also be used with optical signals obtained in a variety of ways (from the beacons used on ships of the times, to the blink of an eye used by American prisoners to signal their position during filming by the Vietnamese).

The course will last nine months and will include a final test.
